Dr. Zohmangaihi, Programme Coordinator of the NEICC Peace Centre, was one of the resource persons at a seminar on ‘Role of the Church in Peace Building’ at Churachandpur, Manipur on June 11,2025. She presented a paper titled β€œThe Effects of Ethnic Conflict in Manipur on the Church” highlighting critical insights into how the ongoing conflicts have impacted ecclesiastical unity and the broader mission of the Church. One-Day Consultation on the Role of the Church in Peace Building held in Churachandpur, Manipur. The event was organized by the Peace and Justice Committee of the Presbyterian Church of India (PCI) General Assembly and was jointly hosted by three Synods – Manipur Presbyterian Church, Zou Presbyterian Church, and Tangphai Presbyterian Church (Provisional) Synods.

The consultation brought together approximately 60 delegates representing various denominations and philanthropic organizations across Churachandpur. It served as a platform for meaningful dialogue and collective reflection on the Church’s responsibility and potential in promoting peace amidst the ongoing challenges.Β The event emphasized the Church’s role as a moral and spiritual agent in peacebuilding efforts, especially in conflict affected regions like Manipur.
